ASUS Eee PC T91 – A Review
ASUS Eee PC T91 is a handy and lightweight laptop, weighing about two pounds. It has a slim lithium polymer battery of one inch thickness. It is one of the few portable devices, which have adjustable screens that can be smoothly rotated into tablet formation. Moreover, all possible rotations of the screen can be done without any shakiness.
Attractive features:
The ASUS Eee PC T91 has a small keyboard, which gives us a feeling of feather touch typing. The keyboard has smooth keys, helping the user to type quickly without any feeling of weariness. This device is a mini tablet PC with touch screen interface. It is compact and sleek device with a wonderful track-pad. When compared to that of other Tablet PCs, the track-pad of T91 is very responsive. The backlit touch panel uses LED technology, providing good contrast and bright picture. The device has a VGA port, two audio and two USB ports.
System Specification:
The Eee PC T91 works with Atom Z520 CPU clocked at 1.33GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and uses Intel GMA 500 graphic card and a lithium polymer battery, which provides runtime of about 5 hours. Additionally the device is equipped with 10/100Mbps Ethernet chip, 802.11 B/G/N Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR chip. When measured diagonally, the size of the screen measures 8.9 inches. The display is of rotating type and we can flip the screen 180 degrees. The height is about 1 to 1.1 inches.
Touch Gate interface
One of the important features that is worth mentioning is its responsive touch screen. It is loaded with some customized software – such as Touch Gate interface. There are three ways to activate touch screen interface. They are the icons on the desktop, the slider icon at the top of the desktop and the physical buttons that are placed to the right of the power-toggle. There will be limited number of icons on the toggled list – Memos, Preference, FotoFun, Notepad and IE.
When you tap your finger to the left in the Touch Gate interface, you will get the Widget screen. The system comes with several preloaded Yahoo Widget that can be customized easily. By flicking your finger across the screen, you can return to your OS. The software incorporated with T91 is efficiently designed.
