Canon S95 Review
Canon has done it again with the release of the new Canon Powershot S95. Taking all what was good with the Canon S90 and adding small improvements such as easier to use handling, Canon has created a best selling digital camera with the Canon S95
Starting with the fast lens, the Canon S95 is a dream to shoot with when the lighting conditions are less than ideal and where lesser common digital cameras would not be able to keep up. With the fast f/2.0 lens on the Canon S95, Canon has left probably wha tis the most important feature on this digital camera alone as it really doesn’t need much improvement at all. The main reason the Canon S95 is the best Canon Powershot Camera in their lineup is due to the fast aperture on this lens and camera. Where other digital cameras would not be able to handle the lighting conditions, the Canon S95 lets in four times more light than standard pocket digital cameras.
Not only does the lens aperture make the Canon S95 an excellent choice for shooting in the dark, the wide angle zoom ratio is useful with a real world zoom range of 28mm to 110mm . At the wide angle setting you have a fantastic field of view for wide angle photography such as landscape photography and the telephoto settings mean you’ll always be ready to get close too. 100mm is the perfect focal length when shooting tighter such a close portraits.
But a lens does not a great digital camera make and the Canon S95 offer innovative technology such as ten megapixels of resolution for great looking poster sized prints and a four way image stabilization system that combats the problem of blurry photos.
To summarize, the Canon S95 is one of the better digitlal cameras avialable to buy in 2010 and beyond when in the market for a full featured point and shoot.
