Mini Laptops Are Best For College
As a college student my self, I understand what equipment is needed to do well and succeed in college. In today’s world, it is almost impossible to get through college without having a laptop. Almost everything that you do will require the use of one. Whether it is making a PowerPoint or checking your email for homework updates – you have to have some form or access to a computer. With that said, I would like to discuss how well the combination of a mini laptop and a regular on works.
Mini laptops are great for one main reason – they are small, compact, and can be placed easily inside a book bag. They do not weigh a lot and to not take up needed space for books. What they also do for college students is to help them take more and better notes. Most people, not all, can type a lot faster that they can write. Therefore, by using a mini laptop you can take notes much faster and effectively than you could with a pencil. I also have very messy hand writing, so using a word document is much more organized. The other benefit of doing so is that you can simply create a file to save all your work for a specific class in a designated file. Unless you delete the file, you have pretty much just eliminated ever losing your hand written papers again. Awesome!
The reason why I do not suggest that you rely solely upon your mini laptop for college is due to the fact that they do not have the memory or storage capacity that regular units have. Most mini laptop computer have about 1 gig of memory and 2 gigs of hard drive. This is not enough space to house all of the other stuff that you need for college – like software and such. But lets not go around knocking this type of computer out just yet. I does what is was made for and that is for connecting to the web and doing small projects like taking notes.
